Freehand Hostel

Conrad Gomez

Pedaling around Miami Beach on a Freehand cruiser is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the sun and scenery. Thanks to avid cyclist Conrad Gomez, we’ve got the inside scoop on some of the best rides around town.

Raised in New Jersey, Gomez began racing bicycles at thirteen and eventually turned pro. After fifteen years, he retired from his racing career, relocated to sunny Miami Beach and began working in the nightlife industry. (He started the long-running hip-hop party Home Cookin’, opened the bar Foxhole, and currently mans the door at LIV.) He continues to cycle, and recently rode in the Tour of Colombia Master and the Argentine Classic.

Conrad’s shared some of his favorite rides. Whether you want to see the sights of South Beach, catch the beach breeze at Key Biscayne, or take an epic trip all the way to Hollywood (Florida, not California; we’re not that endorphin-crazed), he’s got the route for you.
