Three of our favorite spots in Miami Beach, squeezed into one easy, breezy bikeable adventure.
Destination: Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (About 15 minutes)
From our place, hang a right onto 28th Street and another onto Collins Avenue. Cruise leisurely down Collins (past Collins Park and Bass Museum) until you reach 17th Street. Turn right. From there, it’s a straight shoot. Once you cross the Collins Canal (originally built to transport avocado crops), the park should be visible ahead. Find a shady spot, throw down the kickstand and take a breather.
Destination: Panther Coffee (<5 minutes)
Head towards Purdy Avenue (adjacent to the park) and hang a left. Panther Coffee is a stone’s throw away on the left. If you’re in the mood for a fresh brew/in need of some midday caffeination, this is your place. Our favorite: The cold brew (Japan style).
Destination: Icebox Cafe (<5 minutes)
If your appetite is larger than a cup of coffee, just walk a few doors down to Icebox Cafe (a crew-approved favorite) for a fresh, laid-back brunch/lunch. Try their lemon ricotta pancakes if you roll in before noon. If not, we’re fans of their wasabi-crusted wild salmon and rotisserie all-natural turkey club. But most importantly, don’t skip the sweet stuff!
Now, hurry back to our place. The pool’s waiting!
How to rent a bike:
Stop by the front desk anytime to reserve! The rental fee is $15 for the entire day. (We recommend departing early and returning late to get the most bang for your buck.)
